parallel to the bible   Cain killed his brother Abel in contest to  the blessing of the Lord

The  historical claim of identity of Sargon with Cain comes from the Babylonian records

. The fourth chapter of Genesis, states that by Cain wandered in the "Land of nod," and he built city and which he "called after the name of his son Enoch," ..... the Babylonian city Unuk or Erech identifying Unuk with the Enoch of Genesis, the city built by Kain in commemoration of his son." ...

Unuk or  "Erech appears to have been one of the centers of Semitic influence in Babylonia from a very early period."

"His career began with the conquest of Erech."    Erech is called "the old city" and the "place of the settlement"
